Rabbits Need Rabbits

Rabbits are naturally social animals who live in groups in the wild. Yet, thousands of pet rabbits still live alone, leading to loneliness, boredom, and even depression.

A rabbit should never be kept alone, they thrive best with a bonded bunny companion. Humans can’t replace the constant companionship, grooming, and communication that only another rabbit can provide.

Benefits of bonded rabbits:
• Constant companionship and comfort
• Reduced stress and anxiety
• Improved confidence and activity levels
• Encourages natural behaviours like grooming and cuddling

Don’t forget bonding takes time and care, it’s not always a quick and easy process and needs to be done properly:
• Always
neuter/spay both rabbits and wait 8 weeks post op before bonding
• Choose a
neutral space for initial introductions
• Monitor behaviour closely and go at their pace
• Many rescues offer
bonded pairs or bonding support so don’t feel like you have to do it alone

A happy rabbit is rarely a lonely one 🐰🐰
